A flock of about 150 Evening Grosbeaks were reported not too long ago from Algonquin, so I had to go.

I love evening grosbeaks. Haven't seen any this winter in Sydney.
The bird looks great. Terrific details in the feathers.
    Nice clean BG.
It looks like you did some cloning under the rump of the bird. I would clean that area up a bit.

    Karl:

An extremely handsome bird, soft light shows his details well. Soft background.

Agree with Gail about the cloning marks.

    Cheers

Nice work, Karl. As I remember them the color and exposure are spot on. Nice complimentary background. When I lived in north these birds always seemed to come to the feeder with the first snowfall. Thank you for sharing.

You've captured him in beautiful plumage with great detail. Terrific colors and accommodating background. Nice pose too. I'd love to get one of these someday. Nicely done.

Hi Karl, great close up of this fellow, and I like the colours on him. Sharp where it counts, and posed against a clean BG.
