Anita, this is downright sumptuous! Only in this gorgeous close-up do I see the reverse curves of the the style in the middle and the smaller "C" shapes of the surrounding anthers. (I had to check in a flower book to be sure I got the parts correctly named!) Beautiful soft white flower petal background. Great for the theme! You are the flower queen!

Great job with the Gaussian blur!!! I like the aspect ratio of the image, too. And the curves of the petals contrasted with the dark background is a good element. It took me a little while to realize what I was looking at, there, and that's a good thing. This is a wonderful image.

    Anita,

Greetings. Just beautiful, Anita. I particularly like the contrasting texture of the anthers with the pistil & filaments (ah, Google define for me ;-) ). The dark bg against the blurred petals is just right. Thanks for posting.

    Cheers,

    -Michael-

Thank you. I'm glad you had to look at it a bit longer. :-)

Thank you very much Hazel, Arthur and Michael. I sometimes (often?) am not sure if my vision works for others. I appreciate the feedback.

I love it too...especially the details of the flower parts that Nancy so kindly taught us the names of!

Anita, I like the composition. I can imagine you moving around so the anthers don't overlap. Well done.
