Default Reddish Egret with mud boots on

I was looking through my files and I kind of liked this one....I am happy to see I wasn't the only one getting stuck in the mud.

Made me smile this one Lorant!

Doesn't quite have the vibrant colours of some of your previous Egrets but the raised foot with the mud boot more makes up!

Great looking Egret, Lorant. Like the feathers on the neck and chest blowing in the breeze. Nice light with fine detail. Great low pov.

Love the feathers on this one. It's actually a very majestic pose. Great shot on this one, Lorant.

I have a question, rather. When you are shooting in the mud like this, what do you wear, if I may ask?

Good pose and great muddy foot. Nice windblown look. Looks like sticky stuff. I hope you didn't lose your boots in the muck (as I have almost done on several occasions).

The pose and raised muddy foot are great.
I also like the fluffed up feathers.
    Great BG.
The light was quite bright and it makes the head a bit "contrasty" although the rest of the body looks fine.
I would consider a version with the white circles in BG on the left smoothed out a bit.
    Very nice image Lorant,
    Gail

    Thanks for the comments, guys.

I have been trying different neoprene footwear and sandals... nothing worked really. The best so far is the fivefingers water-shoes, but they can come off as well and get stuck in the mud. Often I go bare foot, but sometimes I cut up my feet.

Nice bird, pose with the raised wing. EXP and SH right on. I wear over the ankle surf booties. They will never come off. And I hate getting crud between my toes... a

Beautiful shot Lorant, I have just opened the image in ACR and applied some vibrance and clarity - I think it gives the image a little boost.
