    The beautiful calming background and the subtle colors of the bird blend nicely to create a graceful depiction of the mallard. I love mallards and enjoy photographing this species; I can't wait for them to return to Montana.

    Hi Jon, excellent exposure on the head of the Mallard to show up those greens so well. The finer plumage is spot on with regards to sharpness, and I do like the bow wave. Another vote for maybe some off the top.
