    Hi Joe.

Good exposure and sharpness, with an interesting wing position. But while the background is generally good, I find the blue strip at the bottom distracting. I would crop enough off the bottom to eliminate that blue strip. There are also three little white spots trailing the bird that I would clone out.

And BTW, it's good to see a post from another photographer on Maryland's Eastern Shore. Thanks for sharing.

The pose and exposure are excellent, the head looks reasonably sharp but not too sure about the bill, I wonder if it was the wing that caught the focus point? It is nevertheless a very appealing shot.

What a unique looking SHC. You have lovely light and environment here. Nice to see those feet peeking out and the water droplets.

I just realized that this SHC has different colored feet that most also. How odd but I like their color.

A very nice image Joe. I agree with Jonathan's critique.

Thanks guys. Norm I had edited both with and without the water and prefer it as presented.

Marina I agree about the legs in fact in some of the other frames I got that week of this same bird the color of the bill and legs really balance each other out to my eyes.

Gorgeous! Cropping out the blue would make the composition too tight but it could easily be re-colored.
