JohnRThanks for comments on last pic.
Great snowy scene, helped by the low SS. Nice and sharp on the head which has just the right amount of turn. Lighting makes the head almost luminous. A little cluttered for me in the lower right, but that's your preference.
Great image of the bird, the whites are really well handled. You have found some lovely light from somewhere. Just the right shutter speed for the falling snow. Agree with Bill on the cluttered rh side.
I like this one better. Dappled light works well here, strong sense of snowy habitat.
It would be very easy to remove the thin upright on the right, and desaturate the green leaves just a bit, and I think that would really keep our eye on the subject.
Pose, exposure, composition, look all good, John. I like the original the best. By removing the shrub from the right corner seem to have upset the balance.
Very good image of a shy winter visitor, the head turn is just right and the soft light shows off fine feather detail. I like the original, its well balanced to me.
Love these thrushes.
Hi Graham Welcome. Great first post too ! Nice to have a neighbour on here !! (Any relation to Mike ???)
Great shot.. We must meet up some time- my hides aren't being used much at the moment !Too much water about.
Cheers
