    This would be a tricky subject for most people taken at this angle. You have quite a distance from the tip of the stamens going down and I suspect you have focused manually something around the ovary and chosen a small aperture. I think the problem is nothing is quite in perfect focus.
    I would suggest using a tripod and cable release and either stacking several images or perhaps consider going for say f8 and differentially focusing. Hope this helps.

    A agree with Jon on this one. - a hard subject at this angle. Stacking would be the answer. Nice backdrop too, so it wouldmake an interestingsubject.

    Thanks for the comments and suggestions.The pic was hand held. All have been locked away, as I am very new to this type of photography as I only got my tubes at Xmas.
