Beautiful image Karl! I like the intense stare, IQ, clean BG, sharpness, details and loose composition. I could also see a tighter version. Would love to see this bird one day.
Thats a great 'stern' look you're getting Karl, what did you do to upset him?!
Don't know the specifics of this bird, but the details look good to me, maybe some of the snow could take some subtle burning.
Very nice work
Mike
What a great looking pose. Lovely detail on the bird and a great looking perch aswell.
Nice one Karl

Hi Karl, My dad used to look at me like that Lol. You captured quite the expression there! Lovely composition and background. Totally unique perch! There seems to be a little "surprise" on the perch under the bird ... perhaps clone it out?

Good one. Like the expression on the face too.

Nice one Karl. I like the pose and the perch and the fact that we can see the eyes well but with he was looking up a bit more. Nice details too. Well done

Beautiful portrait, great details and eye contact, Karl.
Excellent work here Karl ....I envy the variety of birds you have and the snow.
What a stare, love it. No nits from me, I like everything about the image. Thank you for sharing, Karl.

Something absolutely classic about this -- could be a Robert Bateman painting! Beautiful!
