To the best of my recollection, this is something new for you, and I really like it. The lighting is great, the earthy colors work well with the subject, and the tonal variation in the background is a plus. Nice work.

Mitch,
Greetings. I really like the perspective and the emphasized detail of the petals and stem. I wonder if a bit more yellow less green in the petals might add some color contrast. Thanks for posting.
Cheers,

Very, very nice! I really like how the stem angles into the image and takes your eye right to the main part of the flower. The fine detailed lines from Topaz Glow are great, and I especially like those green curvy lines at the base of the flower. They almost appear alive and direct your eye to the flower itself. The brown bkgd is a nice subtle choice and well done. Some alternative possibilities would be a little more space above the flower, and a little less on the sides. And maybe just a bit brighter inside the petals. But really, it is very fine as you have presented it!

I like it. I'll have to try Topaz Glow. I like the angle, the dark bg, the gently curving lines, the colors. I might try a more square crop. Very nice work.

Thanks for the comments. Haven't been able to get out recently, so trying to find subjects "in house".
