The blue tyre in the back is a little eye grabbing but SWYT
Eye looks bright but a lot of iris showing and as it was. easily reduced if needed.

Hi John, I quite like this shot of your little owl. Iris looks ok to me. I would consider to increase overall exposure/brightness very slightly, but would suggest to see what the others think first :)

You have caught this owl well John. The spade handle works superbly and I agree the image needs a little brightening and a very slight tweak of contrast. You might say this image has been rubber stamped! The tyres would make an interesting perch, for me at any rate.

I don't know what you did in the repost but I like the original, John.
    What was he perching on?

Re-post for me John, the OP just looked a little flat.

Nice over the shoulder pose giving us a great look at the eye - it's great when you can get a full eye view as they are so beautiful. Pity about the tyres but they're not too distracting for me. Don't think that spade has a lot of digging left in it!

    Me too actually karl !!!
Just darkened it a little and added a bit of contrast. Every one likes things different it seems. The perch is an old fashioned "D" handled spade. Don't see them much now.
