    Hi Jon, love the inquisitive head turn - were you 'calling' him? Good IQ/lack of noise for that high ISO, and I like how the perch meanders through the frame.

    Thanks Stu & Jum, no I didn't call her stu - the camera does that, the only reservation I have about the 1DX it's loud shutter, so I now use it to my advantage, I generally use it on high speed so I actually fire two exposures rather than one, this often means the subject twitches and sometimes I get a more interesting pose. (Sometimes of course the bird just flies off!!)

    Nice work Jonathan in capturing this inquisitive bird. The females are often ignored by photographers. The colours look accurate and there is nice detail.
