    Full frame image of this bird which was baited at Heaton Park.

    Canon 40D, Sigma 500f4.5
    ISO 200
    f7.1
    1/500 Sec.
    Processed in Elements 2 with selective dodging and sharpening. I have reduced the brightness of the snow laden branches in the background but not by much.

    Hi Adrian ,really like the artistic look you have captured here with the buds and just enough ice/snow to give that wintery effect, nice relaxed pose on the bird, just wonder if it would take a little more brightness it does look a tad dark on my monitor, nice work that I like a lot.

    seems a little dark on my gear- just the head maybe. head on look is never easy either !. One of my fav birds.

    I like the eye contact, sharpness, perch, buds and OOF branches in the BG add depth to the image. Nice image Adrian.

    Hi Adrian, I like your comp with the perch extending into the frame, and the bird giving you direct eye contact. As mentioned, I too find the head a touch dark, but the rest of the body is fine.

    A very nice image, I like the composition and the colours, I too would suggest lifting the dark head a little bit.
