Hi Karl, sweet image and I like the rich, warmth of the plumage too.

I might just pull back the brighter whites in Curves, just to soften things. Personally I would loose those tan/brown areas top right, a little distracting, There appears to be some viable repeat patterns, about an inch above the birds head and to the left. Any reason why you went for Partial metering??

Very nice sharp and sparkly (sp?) image. Agree with Steve's comments above. For such a cold morning, this Bunting looks really fine.

    Thanks Steve.
    Modification suggested is done.
I did not use spot metering, I used partial.

Yes, my mistake, but then edited it, any particular reason?

    Karl:

The colors work great here, and he made me smile when I opened the frame. Nice head turn, nice POV. Just a wee bit nippy there.

    Cheers

Hats off for going out in -12 deg! I would be worse that useless at that temperature. The image is a superb capture of a beautiful bird.

Excellent image Karl! I like the pose, HA, details, sharpness and snowy setting compliments the bird well.
