    Default Lightroom v. DPP

Is there an advantage to using DPP? I never knew about it until I saw posts about it here. Yes, I have not read my camera manual as well :)

I use DPP because I get much better results with it. The images I post here and on my website are all produced with DPP. DPP manual is useless though, Artie and I have written a guide for bird photographers in particular which helps explain the workflow. The main difference is that DPP uses Canon's in-house propitiatory algorithms for demosaic the RAW files which take into account the technical features of the image sensor while Adobe use a generic open-source-based algorithm for all cameras.
