    Steppe Eagle
    Near Pune, Panchgani , Maharashtra.
    Novmber 2013,

This shot took just before the landing of this beautiful and strong visitor bird. These strong and beautiful Giants use to come to Panchgani , near Mahableshwar area, but from last two years there number decline and I personally reports some 10 steppe eagles last year with forest department. They do the needful at the place.

Great pose. I like the intense look of concentration.
It looks like you lifted the shadows considerably and quite a bit of noise has been introduced under the wings.

Superb pose and photographic capture. Unfortunately noise in the wings is damaging image quality. It looks as though you have brightened the wings (much too much IMHO) and you have accidently brightened the sky with the wings creating a pale halo around them. I'm sure this image can be made much better with careful treatment and making the shadow areas more natural having regard to the contrast in the plumage. Otherwise nice work.

    Ritesh:

Handsome bird, great pose, but do agree about the halo and overdoing the processing a bit. Certainly worth another go at it.

    Cheers
