Hello from Minnesota. I'm an experienced birder but am just starting to take pictures and learn about photography. This site is invaluable.

I enjoyed this Ivory gull in Duluth last weekend...

    Thanks,
    Brendan

Nice shot Brendan. I just missed the Ivory Gull. I was in Duluth at the end of last week. Had a great trip. Beautiful city! I will return for sure.

Hi Brendan, welcome to BPN! I started out with binoculars when I was younger but traded them in for photo equipment. Lots of fun, and very addictive. Looking forward to your participation.

I lived in St. Paul, MN between 2009-2014, still hoping that one day I would be able to go back. I would presume you are in Duluth? I camped almost every Fall in Grand Marais.

    Welcome to the BPN!

    Hi -
Actually, I'm living in Rochester, MN now. I took a day trip to Duluth to see the Ivory gull (and a beautiful gyrfalcon) a few weeks ago.

I've been living in Minnesota for about 6 months now. I'm heading up to the Sax-Zim bog this weekend for the first time. Can't wait to see a few lifers.

    Thanks for the welcomes!

Welcome to BPN, Brandon. I started out as a birder as well when I was very young. I still have binoculars almost everywhere I go but spend more time behind the camera now. Looking forward to your participation. Please feel free to ask any questions.
