    On that day the temperature was -30 degrees Celsius (-22 F) in the morning.
    I could take it only for a short time, and went out again when it warmed up to a bulmy -24 C (-11.2 F).

    Nicely done, Karl. Beautiful little bird, I remember them from my years in New Hampshire coming to our bird feeders. Thank you for sharing.

    beautiful image with a sprig of spruce for this pint sized cutie. wonderful processing, sharp, no noise and details throughout the feathers, I really enjoyed this one. brrrrhhhh...

    Hi Karl, We see plenty of Chickadees in Ottawa, but I have yet to see a partially leucistic one. Love the background and perch. If you have cropped this photo in post, I think it would be great to include the tip of the leftmost branch in the frame.
