    I used split toning to color the clouds. I cropped close at the bottom to remove all the ugly dead lotus in the water.

    The split toning worked really well. What a great idea! I like the silhouetted elements at the bottom, too.

    Thanks Dennis. I use split toning a lot for sunsets/clouds, love it! I often do it in Lightroom but Exposure 7 and Nik Analog Efex also have it in many presets or you can create your own in Exposure.

    This is a good example of split toning, something I haven't yet tried in my images. Works perfectly here, resulting in a natural looking sky. You certainly have been photographing some beautiful skies.
