    Too right Jon .

Still a nice capture, was it in the chest highlights why you dropped to -2/3, if they just started to blink before reducing I wouldn't have worried and addressed things in PP providing they were not blown. Blue looks a bit OOT for my tastes, even if it was a sunny day, which day was it???? I guess the SS came from when you dropped the EV???

Steve image captured last February! The highlights were still well over exposed at -2/3, I did address this in PP. I was in one of my "I will select the ISO days" I was happy so long as the SS was faster than 1600 sec.
I think this is where the auto ISO scores, had I been on Manual exp and Auto ISO I would have probably selected 1/2000 f8.

Ah, yes that 'sunny' day, remember it well

Manual - agree there, I will swop depending on what I'm doing, as it makes life very simple at times and I can retain that SS too.

Even with your self critique there is a lot to be liked about this image Jon, you have captured a very nice preening pose, agree the water does look a bit blue, but like the look of the bird. You seem to like your auto ISo will give it a try myself sometime.

Keith, just be careful if you do, I'm not too sure how well the D4 likes it?

I like the preening behavior and the diagonal orange line of beak to foot. What a beautiful bird and like the head detail. great colors Jon...
