This is another image I took some time ago, and processed now. Still can't get out and about, because of the weather

Thanks for the comments on the Oystercatcher.

This is nice Will, really shows off the often unseen colouration. The only minor nit is maybe you could get a bit more details out of the white cheek area, but that apart I like the low POV on the hillside and the little inquisitive pose.

    Nice work.

Excellent capture, William. These are beautiful birds, and you did a superb job of getting the iridescence and carrying the feather detail throughout. Like the complimentary colors in the foreground and especially the BG. Well done.

    This is great!
Perfect raised crest and great BG.
    The iridescence looks great.
I really like the curvy mound. It adds a nice line,

What wonderful image Will, quite regal, lovely colors and the grassed mound with wee bits of taller grass/weed is just enough! Terrific BG as well, pov too! wow, a pleasure to view.

Hi Will, well taken, exposure looks spot on with the whites and the blacks have detail & tone, think you have turned a massive corner here on this one, killer BKG too. If this is not FF then my only wish is for a sliver more at the foot, which may lead to a fraction more all round which would not hurt the image.

    Well done Will.

Hi Will, great eye level perspective here, and the light has certainly brought out the iridescence very well. Good DOF and sharpness on the Lapwing, and I like the layers of feathers. Killer BG too.
