There wasn't much of a sunset today here at Marco Island, but there were a few pelicans feeding of the beach. This was taken about 8pm and it was a little cloudy. Since the longest lens I brought with me is the 200, the shot was cropped about 40%

Hi Oscar, I like this a lot. I feel that perhaps you could crop a little more from the right side of the picture to change the balance a little. Also, is there any way to lighten the face slightly??
    Congrats!

    Hey Oscar,
How is the beach life? I like this one, the only thing here, is that the background is too bright. You need to compensate less for the exposure perhaps instead of +1.0EV; you should have used a +0.3EV.. Keep them coming...:D

    Oscar (and Gus)
I like the action in this image.
Gus, if he changed the compensation to +0.3EV, don't we lose all the detail in the bird? I think this is a really difficult image to get the exposure right with the dark bird and bright water.

its a contrasty shot with the white head and the dark body, but at 8PM should be doable. exposure doesnt look bad. i think +0.3 would have made the bird darker. you can always darken the water!! good luck this week oscar!! i think you will have some good sunsets shots this week!!! tonite may be your nite!!!!

Nice wings-up position and I like the "almost landing" pose.

Agree wit Mr H. on the exposure. Nice wing detail! I sorta wish the bird was flying more toward you.

I myself would prefer better exposure of the bird at the cost of a over-exposed background in an all-natural light photo situation. Overall I think the composition looks good. May be a tiny bit of crop from the right. Yeah, the bird should look even better if it's brighter. Shouldn't be a problem with post-processing.
