    Default Sittting comfortabaly

There are times when the bird decides he is comfortable in my presence , and this is one of those occasions were I could just sit and stare at the bird for as along as it takes for him to decide he is bored and moves on ,the end result is always a bonus for me ....1d mkiv 300mm f4 at 5.6 iso 400 1/500 sec +1/3evName: Little-owl-Jan-(1-of-1).jpg

Hi Dennis, I absolutely love how his mossy perch frames the photo! I think if the dark green area in the BG near the head could be made lighter, it would bring it up a notch or two :) Wonderful composition :)

I like the contemplative pose, BG, perch and composition wise I would add a little to the bottom if you have it. Excellent image Dennis!

Sounds like you had a special moment with your subject...you have a wonderful photo to show for it. Fantastic perch - I wonder what it looked like below? I'm asking as you could add a bit back, if you have it, to add thickness to prevent the darker "groove" from running along the bottom edge. Super nice image though, I like it lots! Keep those owls coming :-)
