    This Gadwall was about to take off hence the body language.

    Hi Karl, I like the setting, makes for a nice change. Although you were geared up for BIF I thing you could have easily gone to 800 and increased the DoF to say f/7.1, still retaining the SS.

    Adding a slight midtone Curve and dropping the highlights brings back a lot more depth & detail, especially in the FG ice & water.

    Hi Karl, am away so the laptop is not ideal, but it does look better, anything more may be considered more 'personal' refinements. Being quite a bright day I would assume the blues to be more Cyan, but again, you could pull that back, however this would be a 'refinement' . WDYT, is it better, an improvement?

    I like the pose, sharpness, composition and icy setting. No ice on the lake or river down here yet but that will change in a week. Repost looks good Karl!
