    I am entering this in the monthly winter theme as this is the result of an Ice Storm on Jan. 2 in the area
    so this is technically the result of a winter Pacific NW storm.

    These little Backyard hummers have a hard time in the icy conditions....
    For scale, the perch is a Hydranga stem, about 1/8" in diameter.

    500mm (300 w/ 1.7tc), 1/320 (in camera flash fill), f10, iso 3200, Nikon D800

    Hi Dan, excellent flash fill, not obvious to me at all. The pink head id beautiful. I iwsh the SS was a bit higher so that the wings were more apparent, Since this is a backyard, I wonder if you could get a sligly different angle to avoid/minimize the brighter area in the BG. Loi
