I had a great holiday with my wife during the New Year at Tenerife. I never took my 500mm as this was to be a non bird photography holiday The dove flew past as I was taking holiday snaps on the beach. The camera was in JPEG mode.

Hope everyone had a great New Year time.

Is that sunshine I see Will? You have some smashing feather detail on the bird and it's lovely to see that nice blue water, well caught.

What a fun image! Tack sharp, well exposed. I might play with the crop as it's a bit boxy.

Wow, talking about luck! How did you had the SS at 1/2000 for a landscape shot? Love the image, but like Grace said, may be playing around with the crop a little bit. Too boxy for me too. Loi

Hi Will, love the shot. I can see how the rocks may have constrained your cropping options, but it seems fine to me how the bird is framed by rock on 2 sides. Lovely details and IQ!

Hmmm, now you get great avian shots when taking holiday snapshots? Says a lot for the talent you have developed through much practice :)
