    Happy New Year. I always find it difficult to capture this bird in an elegant pose, but I quite like the way the neck curve imitates the shape of the wing here.

    Canon 7D Mk2. Canon 100-400 L Mk2.

    1/200 @ f 5.6 Auto ISO 800 + 1EV

    I agree with you about the nice lines in this image.
    I would like a bit more room on the bottom and RHS.
    Splash is nice and this image is impressively sharp for a SS 1/200 (or is that a typo?)
    The dark line of water at the bottom of the frame really draws my eye down. I wonder if you could increase the brightness a bit to that area of the water?

    Nice exposure and I like the open bill. I am with Gail re the dark water. It would have been more ideal with the wings stretched but the curved neck is nice

    Super nice pose, open beak and water splash. I agree with Gail about the dark water. Maybe it would be nice to have some room on the bottom. TFS.
