Captured this high-key image at a preserve in Lima Peru in June. Luckily it was a fairly bright overcast day and a few of these beauties around. C&C welcome.

I like the image, nicely done. The conditions appear very similar to what I had when I captured an image of a Ring-necked Duck and posted here previously. Nice work, thank you for sharing.

I like the high key presentations, nice exposure and soft light. I might leave more space below

Very nice Geoffrey.Love the perfect exposure.
Duck looks great. I am not sure about the reflection. I think I would like to see all of it if you have it.
Difficult crop because of the reflection.

Thanks Gail. I too would like to leave more space below, also suggested by Arash, but the reflection of his head is not very attractive. You can see how the ripples are affecting the neck.

Neat duck! The plumage is nice, great job with the details and the high-key treatment. Sometimes, even if the reflection is not perfect, it can be worthwhile including it completely to better balance the image. Perhaps its worse than I think it is, but if it is not as bad as what we see in the neck it may be worth adding it back.

    Have a super 2016 Geoffrey!!

    Thanks everyone.

By popular request here is a repost with full reflection. With a bit of post cleaning up it might work. Any suggestions are welcome.

Personally I like it with the reflection, but I'd crop just above the little sliver of reflected head at the bottom.

I prefer the full reflection too. Thanks for showing us what it looked like! BTW, I forgot to mention the perfect head angle
