    Default Sunrise At Kincaid Lake

This was taken near Falmouth, KY which is about twenty minutes from where I live. It was mostly processed in Lightroom but I did use photoshop cc to clone out an electric line that was running across the lake. I am pretty happy with the image personally but I would like to see what someone with more knowledge than me thinks.

Wow! This is gorgeous! I love mist on water with sunrise light! Colors and tonalities are wonderful!

I'd clone out the stick in the lower right. Although this is a symmetrical image with equal interest in the top and bottom halves, I like the subtle artistry of moving a horizon just slightly out of the center in a case like that, and I see an excuse here to do that. I find the bare branches in the top right just a little attention-drawing, and a crop to just below them (pr most of them) would appeal to me. But that's all a matter of taste.

A "horizon" line with a receding shore can look a bit off-level and you have that situation here. Although the center portion looks like you have leveled it, you might try a very subtle CW rotation and see how it looks.

    Looking forward to seeing more!!

This is worthy of being posted in Landscapes! More people would see it there and you would get a wider range of feedback. Generally an image isn't posted in two different forums but I think ETL is (or certainly should be) an exception to that.

Just wonderful Jack. This is just the sort of place I would love to launch my kayak! Ditto what Diane has mentioned. I love the way you have not over saturated the scene. Love the mist. I too would slice a bit off the top and keep those lovely ripples in the FG water. That bright stick is a little distracting and I would clone out that as well. You've done a great job of cloning out powerlines.

Take Diane advice and post it in Landscapes. More people would get to see this lovely image.

Thanks to both of you. When I get off work I will rework it and repost in landscapes when I have time.

That is a great looking landscape I like nothing better than waking up to these sort of scenes when we go on houseboat holidays but I have never been able to take a photo that looked anywhere near as good as this. If it was mine the only thing I would do to it would be to remove the bright twig.
    Cheers Frank.
