    I captured this image within hours of landing in Iceland in 2012. The Common Eider is the largest duck in the Northern Hemisphere. C&C welcome.

    D3s, Nikon 500mm, 1/1600s, f 6.3, ISO 320, Gitzo tripod, Wimberley Gimbal head.

    I am not sure about this one.
    The image feels unbalanced.
    I would take some off the the RHS and perhaps place the bird a bit lower in the frame.
    I think the problem for me is that the image doesn't engage me.It may be the fact that the eider is looking out to the water.
    The green vegetation adds a much needed pop of color.
