Globe Thistle Illustrated

This image of a globe thistle started out with a pretty funky BG so I decided to just go for it. I added the following PS Actions: Color Boost, Illustration, Ethereal Glow & a vignette. It would have been "okay" as a regular image but I think this really popped the contrast between the soft greens and the deep magentas.

Did I go too far? Not far enough? It's my first attempt at using the Illustration action everyone's been trying out and I'm not quite sure I used it to its full potential.

The action looks wonderful, Julie. I'd take time and make the background a little more even, either by blurring or cloning, to really show off the beautiful flower. Great job!
