    This fellow often seemed to doze off between groomings as he drifted around the refuge pond, the muddy waters of which are a nice backdrop for the pintail browns and greys of his plumage. 7D Mark II; EF100-400 Mark II @ 263mm; ISO640; f/9; 1/800; manual;

    The lighting has worked nicely in this image and it works because the face is nicely lit up.
    I do wish for a lower POV but you were able to show the foot very nicely with this angle.
    Nice detail in the plumage.
    I could see a version with about 5 % more room all around but nice as is.

    Good light and striking details. Yes, lower POV would have worked for you.
