This laughing kookaburra has been toiling away at this ants nest on an ironbark tree for some time. Due to a shortage of hollow logs, ants nests seem to be the next best thing. I think the reno is still operational because I can hear no babies.

Late afternoon, scuddy cloud cover. Not the usual pose, and a bit unsure whether it appeals or not.

ACR sliders - vibrance and clarity and HSL. Black slider moved to the right a tad. In PSCS6 - Little burning to beak. Re sized and smart sharpened for the web posting.

Different and very nice, with a very intense look at the intruding photographer! It appeals to me!! And excellent for that much ISO, focal length and crop! Good to see you pushing the limits!

No suggestions for improvement on this one!

I'm rushed right now -- will keep an eye out for what others think!

It works for me it is good to see the kookaburra from a different perspective. To my eye everything looks sharp and the colours spot on.
    Cheers Frank.
