    Default Plover on Ridge

Photographed last Sunday at South Beach in Chatham MA under very windy and foggy conditions. This guy took us away from their nest area and then stayed still for a couple of grabs before heading back to the nest.

Very nice photo John! I like the grass on the left; it acts as a natural frame for your subject. Thanks for posting!

I agree with Doug that the grass is a plus. The pose is good, the bird is sharp, and I like the way the ridge-top view gives separation from the background. My only nit is that the bird looks a bit too contrasty, for my taste, given the foggy conditions you experienced.

Great setting and details despite the fog. I like the grass and eye contact and decrease contrast and/or brightness a tad.
