    1/1000 F/5.6 Matrix Metering +2/3 EV ISO 360, camera resting and supported by a concrete wall

    These are most handsome ducks, and this one is nicely captured with good exposure and pose.

    nice low angle, the bird is a bit soft to my eye. I find that these birds stand out much nicer when there is color in the water

    I', OK with the water colour, but I would have preferred to see a bit more canvas left and top, as well as a bit of CW rotation while at it. I agree the face could use a bit more sharpening as posted. My first ever photographs of this species were in Lakeland (Lake Morton to be precise). A great place for waterfowl during the winter months it seems!
