    Beautiful bird and soft light. I like the perch and grass in the BG. The bird looks a bit oversharpened and is a bit tight in the frame for my taste. I find the tree on the right a bit distracting.

    Hi Axel, yes my reasoning was the tree on the right follows the outline of the bird, and it sort of contained the bird in a frame in the format, obviously it does not work, Regards Loukie

    Maybe a wider crop would make the image less crowded. I'm interested what others think, it's just my personal preference after all. :)

    unusual bird, thanks for sharing Loukie.

    I too find the framing/crop a bit tight. IMO, the left framing branch/formation is blocking the bird.
    The one behind the bird is ok esp if the image has more space.....

    It's all opinions mixed with some excellent critique Loukie, different tastes frequently but the photographer
    can just take in all the suggestions and see if something works as an improvement
