Jon this is great, don't worry about the calling pose this will do very nicely, colours are super.

All the very best to you and yours, just go easy on that Whisky but thinking about it perhaps not.

    Have a good one Keith.

Lovely version of the classic Grouse shot. Super BG and I love the way the grasses fall away with the DoF.

    All the best

Hi Jonathan, lovely rising sun colors. Not sure if you have more room at the bottom, but if you do, the image may need some CW rotation. You have the 1DX, so if it were me, I'd have shot this at ISO-800 minimum to get more DOF. The head seems a bit soft to my eye. Loi

The colors in the Bg and FG vegetation are "to die for".
I think the eye area needs more sharpening.
    Very nice indeed,

Here is another version with a little more sharpening and a tad of clarity:

Hi Jon, the RP has a bit more depth, but I would like a tad more space for the 'virtual' legs, it's awed bit tight I feel.

Lovely image Jonathan, superb colours, RP rocks, I just wish for a tad more at the bottom if possible.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you, thank you for delighting us with so many wonderful images this year

    Warmest regards,
    Gabriela Plesea
