    I really like tis bird.
It hops up on its perch, turns this way, turns that way, meanwhile bounces on its feet up and down and then starts a long, elaborate beautiful song.

Karl, The bird is perfect and you have captured his nature superby. i'm working on a laptop screen this evening and I see some odd repeating patterns, left side, middle. Even if natural, I'd blend them in. Perch is nicely flowing.

Great wren Karl! I know how hard it is to catch one standing still. I also see this pattern on the left. May be something in the background. Nevertheless well done!

    Karl:

The personality of this bird comes through strongly, I can almost hear the song. Perch has enough form and detail to make it interesting in its own right, In a perfect world, perhaps a sliver more DOF, but the numbers suggest there wasn't a lot of light to work with.

    Cheers

Another fine one Karl. The beautiful animated pose really shows off the character of this bird. A little more DOF to put the right side of the perch and the tail into better focus would have been nice but hardly necessary.

Another great shot of this fidgety little wren. Perfect singing pose and nice perch. Looks like light prevented you from higher SS and smaller aperture. I don't know how far you can push the ISO on that camera, but if he keeps coming back to this nice perch you might try for a little more DOF.

I like the curve of the perch, singing pose, sharpness and composition. Patterns on the left are an easy fix. These little birds are a delight to watch. Very well done Karl!

Great calling pose and a very natural wren shot. With hindsight a higher ISO and faster shutter speed would have given a little extra sharpness IMO.

Love these little wrens...and this is a very fine image of one. Love the calling behavior and perch. Background is nice - smoothing on the left side in front of the bird may help some.
