Default Feathers up in the rain

Little owl (male) fluffing up in the rain. Just need the snow now as that is one project I need to finish off as last year we got snow but not enough to get the shots I wanted as these birds are around all year its just knowing there movements in there territory ,that's were the observing comes in to play , and then its just a case then of sorting landing perches for them and hope the curiosity gets to them anyway taken with a 1d mk3 and a 300mm f4 iso 1250 -1/3 ev 1/250 sec Name: ed.jpg

Beautiful bird, BKGR, and raindrops. Needs a bit more room on top. Killer perch. Where?

Was it called to the perch or attracted with food? a

No bait or audio used to get this shot, this is one of three sites were I watch and observe the birds ,when the birds enter there territory they land on the same spots all the time ,what I do is remove the perch/object that the bird favours ie a rock etc then replace with a perch I like ,sometimes I need to move to adjust for light and background ,I then sit and wait and hope the bird lands ,some shots can take a couple of hours some can take weeks to achieve, wild and free little owlLittle owl (1 of 1)-2 by dennis greenwood, on Flickr
