    This was taken at the time when I was capturing the juvenile advocets. It happened so fast that I didn't have time reset my settings. The shutter speed was obviously a little too much. :)

    I Iike the wing position and eye contact,I would prefer for a bit more head turn

    I like the pose and sharpness. I think the sky could be lightened a bit. If you could have pressed the shutter 1/2 second earlier, the image would be even stronger. As presented, the bird is just starting to fly away from you rather than toward you.

    Great light and details. Do you have a frame photographed before he passed you?
