    Default Ruffle feathers

Here is a more simple, 'bread & butter' shot of this subject, compare to the more challenging, previous image from me .

Having waited for some sign of them in the early morning, then taking some kit back to the car, I found this one sitting on the old water can. Laying down on the ground, shooting almost slightly up, there was one almighty shake, body puffed up and the overall size just bulked out. Taken earlier in the year as they are not around now.

Thanks to those who viewed or posted a comment on the previous thread.

Steve I'm very much with Joe on this, as you well know I spend a lot of time around Little Owls and got to say this is not far short of perfect, feather detail and texture and colour are spot on IMHO,man made perch(watering can great) I know but that looks good and the sort of thing that you find around sites frequented by these Owls,BG is good but what really makes it for me is the very natural and relaxed fluffed out pose and that concentrated stare ,I would be very pleased if it was mine.

    Cheers Keith.

I agree with Keith Steve. It is a cracker of a frame. The fluffed up feathers make it for me

Terrific image Steve. The colours and feather detail are perfect. I like the pose and think that the perch suits the subject very nicely. Thanks for showing.
