Every year, just before the snow covers the ground, flocks of Snow Buntings start congregating at this spot near my home before they move on to agricultural areas for the winter months. They love the rocks right by the waters of the Ottawa River (which serves as the BG here). This year is no exception.
Canon 7D + 500mm f/4 II + 1.4TC, manual exposure, evaluative metering, 1/1600s., f/8, ISO 800, natural light, handheld, small crop for comp, "cooled" the hue of the blue water. Audio used.
Nice to have reliable visitors!
Lovely light, well exposed, good eye contact.
I like the inclusion of the lower shelf of rock on the left, gives more sense of form/depth to the image.
