    Default Who is that?

I havn't had time to go on internet for a week or more, here is one old favourite from last Summer. I followed the short eared Owl for a couple of evenings when it was hunting different fields, up north rather close to the polar circle. You could follow it from one field to another, it seemed to have a hunting diameter/radius of 12-14 miles. So you could drive the car from one field to the next and hopefully wait for it, but it was rarely close enough, this is a hard cropping from a horizontal, but it was enough to make a full-page in coffe table book format. Some noise, but for me his or her look was more important. We watch the birds, but sometimes they for a second or rather much less watch us: Who is that? What is that?

Love the pose and the way the light is striking the wings. Excellent sharpness and the eye contact is pretty intense. Wish there was less noise in the background.

I like the sun shining through the wing and 90 degree head turn and yes to some NR on the BG.
