    Default Ballerina in the Sky

Captured this Greater Yellowlegs exhibiting its fluttering behavior. This is my favorite pose of a sequence which I posted in the Story Sequences Forum if you care to take a gander. There are some super images in that forum. The show these birds put on (and the vocalization) during mating season is so much fun to watch, but not easy to capture b/c they move around so much and so quickly. At times it seems as though they exhibit this behavior during territorial disputes, but I feel it's more likely to "show off." Hope you like it.

Definitely a ballerina, lovely image. I like the position of the wings and feet, nice background... thank you for sharing, Marina.

Loverly pose. And BKGR. And light. Where?

As the feet and legs seem to be sharpest a Contrast Mask applied selectively to sharpen the head might be in order.

Great ballerina pose -- love the pointed toes. And what a sweet background. Nicely captured, Marina.

Hi Marina, your title suits this in flight pose perfectly. All you needed to do was 'add' some ballet shoes on the feet. I do like the full wingspread, and that the wings are nearly fully horizontal. I also like how the Yellowlegs is separated from the BG so well. Very well captured.

    Marina:

Lovely pose indeed, elegant, symmetrical, flattering BG.

At this time of year, also strikes me as an angelic pose.

    Cheers
