Excellent pose, detail and colors in the Duck, Bill.
By selecting the background and using highlight/shadow would diminish the contrast, allowing the duck more separation.

Absolutely beautiful. How did you get so low at this location? I have never been, but my reading seems to indicate that this is a problem at Barnegat?
Great quacking pose, love the water and green around the feet. Nice water droplets.
I like your comp but could also see a looser version.
You get bonus points for the title!

    Thanks Karl and Gail.

Karl, good idea. I think this does give a bit more separation.

Gail, getting a low POV is a challenge at Barnegat. There are a few places on the jetty where one can squeeze partially down between the huge boulders, but that's not always where the ducks are. In this case I got lucky and got a series of frames at very close range. This is probably 90% of full frame. At my age, the trick is getting back out.

    Quack!

That means I like Harleys - both the bird and the bikes!

Great pose and the setting really complements the shot well and by the sounds of things you deserve your shot for the scramble down the jetty. Looks to me like he could take a slight bit of selective sharpening on the bill and the breast, although the eye looks nice and sharp.

Hi Bill - What a great portrait of the Harley. I know that pov is not easy at the Jetty so you must be a contortionist. Great pose and the detail is beautiful. It all works here.

Hi Bill, great low angle, and well timed to have captured the 'quack'. Lovely detail and colours on this fellow, and with that green slime on the rock, I cant believe he is not slipping.

Love the Quacking pose, Bill. Nice adjustment on the repost. This was a fun day and I certainly can attest to the precarious situation of getting back out from between the boulders, plus first making sure your camera gear is firmly planted.
