Hi Dave
I really like this.. Lots of interest for the eye and colourful.. My only wish is that you took a step backwards so the bow of the FG boat was a little more isolated from the bottom edge..
DON
Hi Don. Agree entirely, but half a step back would have had me in the water. This is as much as I could squeeze out of it.
David.
Yep, I too find it hard to compose good images under water with the camera held above your head..![]()
At what focal length? a

Thanks. I'd sweat that that was not there when I looked but I know that it was :(. So not possible to zoom wider :) The image desperately needs some water below the bow of the boat. At times you can re-frame in situations like this to create source material for a stitch....

Hi David, I really like this scene with the boats in the creek and the mill in the distance...alternately a two-image, vertical pano stitch (cropped to taste in photoshop) would have given you the much needed space in front of the boat :)
A great scene, really inviting travel/location photo.
I agree that it needs more room below, and Artie made a good point about framing a second shot for a stitched-pano rework later...
Hi David. I downloaded a jpeg and tried a B&W conversion on this one, to see if it would go a different perspective. Instantly it was obvious to the eye the color copy was best for the scene. the mildew on the dock various tones in the buildings and boats was lost in the attempt. I always try a B&W conversion when possible, just to see if it can be done for a different look. Artie and others have noted the framing. Keep posting. TFS.
Hi David, Nice colors and light my only suggestion has been mentioned numerous times already![]()
