    Default Sad Santa

Alas no snow to make it a theme image, but it is a holiday image that I made yesterday in the waiting room at the Orthopedic Clinic. Imagine the surprise on the faces of patients when in LIMPED Santa, as a patient! He fell and hurt his knee and was in pain and I asked him if I could make photos with my iPhone 6s Plus and he was happy to oblige, but sitting down! He also posed for a pic with a nurse made by another nurse. I like that he was not smiling! I made several and with different edits that I like equally so you will see others. I used a phone app called Enlight first, then in Ps I tweaked it and used Topaz Impression.

What a funny story. Love this Santa photo. Without the story, I would think this is a tired Santa. Excellent processing. I like how his glasses are low on his nose, with eyes above. Well done.

Thanks Anita! He was a great "model" for tired Santa as well! He was a cool guy, he had a dry sense of humor and said most all the kids that morning from age 6 up asked for iPhones, iPads, game consoles instead of something to play with outside. Only 2 asked for baseball bats.

Wonderful, and very well done!!! Another huge smile! Hope his knee gets better soon.

Interesting observation about what kids want these days....

I really like this one, Judy, especially the textures and the expression on Santa's face. Well captured and processed!

Hi, Judy, I saw your Christmas card above before I saw this so now I understand. He doesn't look very happy does he? I'm glad he was a good sport and let you capture him in a not so good moment

Thanks Cheryl. Yes he wasn't smiling much. I hope his knee isn't too badly damaged.

Judy, I love your quirky style! You usually find something very different, have bright colors and always an interesting presentation. Very well done!

Bah humbug comes to mind. The contrast between the spirit of Santa and the reality of the situation is poignant. Your post processing enhances the image. I'm happy to hear Santa had a sense of humor.
