One from my trip to the Moors a few years ago, shame about missing the feet and perhaps knowing what I know now maybe would have gone for a bit more shutter speed.
Thanks for looking and your comments on my last post

I am on my laptop so critique may not be "up to snuff"!
    IQ looks really good.
Great perch and BG. Perfect HA and the grub really adds a lot. I am OK with the feet because there is one toe showing.
I could see this as a square or vertical crop as well.
I really like the wind-blown feather,
    Gail

Hi Keith, nice image, lovely HA and the grub is a real bonus and perhaps balances the lost feet? The overall image looks a bit saturated to me, plus there is this blue creeping through, especially on the rock. With that D4 no question about more SS and the image would be even more sharper/crisper too. Sits well for me within the format as presented, don't frame fill, give the subject room to breath .

    Keep them coming Keith.

Lovely shot I must admit the blue cast hadn't registered but having said that I prefer the repost. Super pose and I like the caterpillar - bet he did too!

Nice pose and the caterpillar is a real bonus. Like the glimpse of the toe. The re-post is good. Nice background colour which compliments the bird well.

Great pose, lovely background. A grub for two feet is a fair enough trade for me. I didn't mind the blue rock -- some rocks are that color -- but the repost is better.

Blue cast is gone looks really nice, Keith. I like the pose, the grub in the beak adds lot of interest and the background is gorgeous.

Thanks to you all, much appreciated. Thinking about the colours the rock colour would have been about right, that said wished I had noticed the Blue cast before posting.

Hi Keith, perfect pose and HA, showing off his 'grub' ( pun intended ) I do like how the bird pops from your BG, and your repost has turned out very well.

Lovely capture Keith, the poor grub looks very uncomfortable but it does add so much interest to this image:)

Keith, we nearly got "squeezed" by one of the big tuskers in the Game Reserve this afternoon, he was in musth and we wanted to back off but the vehicles behind us did not move...so all we managed was a slight 30cm in reverse, he still came and towered over the vehicle, waved his trunk around and flapped his big ears...my 80 year old mother kept saying " I am so afraid, I am so afraid", Andre's kids were quiet, Andre and I also kept our cool and I managed a (very) soft whisper "biiig ellie, nice ellie, take it easy big boy"...Could not believe it when he decided to walk past us, forgot to mention we had a half a lemon in a crate at the back and these guys love citrus...I got two frames though, will drop you a mail sometimes:)

Keep up the good work, I am so enjoying all your posts my friend:)

    Warmest regards,
    Gabriela Plesea
