You might think that the perch is too heavy for this tiny bird (and it is) but in fact it likes to hang out on larger branches and fallen tree trunks.

    Thanks for looking.

Wow! Amazing shot. I can't think of anything that would improve it. Love the perch, IQ and the pleasing BG. Congrats!

I like the perch, pose, complimentary BG, sharpness and teardrop shaped eye. The tail running parallel to the perch adds to this beautiful image. Excellent Karl!

Karl I would not worry about the perch when the bird looks as good as this. Don't know how you would improve this, excellent.

A sweet shot with perfect pose, sweet light and exquisite detail. No nits from me at all. Just wish I could get one of these twitchy birds to cooperate for me.

Karl, I just continue to be impressed with your photography of late. Wonderful details, exposure, pose and perch is really not a problem. Being super picky, a bit more dof wouldn't have hurt but a minor thought.

Excellent image, Karl. Cute bird with very nice pose and full of details. I like the colour pallet, BG and composition.

Beautiful sharpness and detail! No problem with the perch -- it is very subdued.
