Default Burrowing owl on sentry duty

I've ben having a clear up of my hard drive, and found this neglected shot of a Burrowing Owl stood near the front of the nest site. Only got one frame before he / she flew off for a dust bath, but quite liked the pose given

Taken earlier this year at Cape Coral

These characters are very cute. Like the pastel quality surrounding the owl in the soft light. Love her slightly turned pose, and her head turn looking directly at you.

Mike I think that is a great image, I like the pose and the surroundings - eye contact, visible feet, ideal background - couldn't ask for more!

Mike don't think I can add to Jonathans comment, would be very pleased with this.

Hi Mike, excellent eye contact, and I do like the upright pose. Overall nice and sharp, and I like how he/she is placed between the OOF foliage on either side. Maybe a little more room below if you have it. I can also see a version with just the BG toned down a touch.

Great looking BO shot Mike. Love the direct stare and nice green background. The details and composition look good to me too. Well done.
