    Default Eastern Screech Owl.

    Once this owl had nested in this hole and had five babies.
    Unfortunately for me I got to know it on the very day when they fledged.
    I managed to catch up with them in the nearby forested area.
    Since then the hole is used as a winter retreat only.

    Very nice shot indeed good details and eye contact. Do you have any with a slightly looser crop?

    A beauty, Karl. Looks as if this was taken between naps (Lids at half mast). My experience was with a sound sleeper. Agree a looser crop might add to image.
